This is a wonderfully romantic and satisfying love story.

The hero, Harrison, is somehow both bad-boy sexy and a genuine gentleman—believably. I couldn’t wait to see what he would say (or do) next to the heroine, True. I adored True. At the outset she’s appealingly vulnerable and just a little bit of an adorable mess, but she’s swiftly revealed to be a strong woman fighting for her family and her home. I love this sort of heroine—utterly feminine while kick-ass in her own way and determined.

The romance brought me to tears of happiness all the way through, including the absolutely perfect brief flashbacks to Harrison and True’s childhood and teen years. I adored their relationship, a bond of friendship and trust and adventure formed early in their lives that—despite all that drives them apart—never fades and never dies. It’s both deeply moving and incredibly hot. Their chemistry sizzles.

The minor characters are real, imperfect, and so loveable. There’s a lot of love in this book, in fact, between all the characters, and all types of love, and it makes the entire story glow. The setting creates the glow too. Though this book is a small-town romance, it feels big, rich, colorful, textured, and infinitely charming in a real, honestly lived way. I actually wanted to be living there in that small southern coastal town, diving off the dock or picking strawberries or eating pancakes at the kitchen table in Maybank Hall. It’s a warm, welcoming, delicious world, and I hope Kramer has more books planned for it. Finally, there are so many one-liner jewels that I gasped, smiled and laughed throughout.

I recommend this book for readers looking for a wonderfully sexy, warm, romantic and satisfying read.

A sweet and sexy romance that has you routing for the southern girl and the country singer. A delightful romp with its ups and downs. You know from the start that love will find a way. All its quirky characters were really fun. Kieran has a delightful way of keeping her reads wanting more.
Since the plots of romances are pretty much predictable, the setting and characters make all the difference. I really enjoyed the characters in Sweet Talk Me. They were interesting, unpredictable and different. And they were complete people, not just character sketches. The best books leave you feeling as if you've met new people, and that's the way I felt when I finished this book. Most of the characters were very likable, too, so that made the reading even better. The setting was fun and accurately depicts that area of South Carolina. I appreciate the fact that the author didn't write the dialogue in Southern speech style, and didn't throw in all kinds of stereotypical behaviors. There was enough "Southern" to give a great sense of setting, and that was just enough. This was a fun read and I would highly recommend it. It reminds me of some of Barbara Delinksy's books.
This was a great read. I fell in love with the majority of the characters and the secondaries definitely added to the overall story with graceful echoes and mirrors held up to the main romantic characters. I was rooting for the hero from very close to the beginning. Awesome contemporary debut (she's written Regency historicals before) for Kieran Kramer!
I picked this up, because the author is FANTASTIC... and I'd meant to read a little and then come back to it later... but that soooo didn't happen. I just finished it.. all my chores... well, they didn't get done. It's past my bedtime and here I am grinning like a fool... Sigh... Swoon... the love story of True and Harrison has me 'clutchin' my pearls' and reachin' for a bottle of sweet tea... my my... I am a happy girl tonight... Thanks, Kieran Kramer! Bless your heart! D
This is a fabulous story of love and friendship and family! I absolutely loved watching True, the heroine, come into her own and find herself. True is a great combination of vulnerability, honor and strength. I truly rooted for her throughout the book and couldn't wait to see her grow and thrive! And fall in love, of course!

As for Harrison? Hot. Just, hot. He was both a bad boy and a Southern gentleman. He was also a country music rock star, and you can't go wrong with that! He was larger than life and yet still had a sweetness to him that I absolutely fell in love with.

Kieran Kramer is a wonderful Regency author, and now she's branched into contemporary and proved she's a well-rounded and multi-talented author. I can't wait to see what's next from her!
I have been a fan of Ms. Kramer's regencies and was looking forward to her new contemporary novel. And I am thrilled that it is as charming and witty as her previous stories. Ms. Kramer brings her characteristically fun characters to a new place and time--contemporary setting in the Carolina Low Country. Lovely, smart, and beautifully romantic. A joy to read!
I loved SWEET TALK ME! But then I'm a sucker for a good bad-boy-makes-good story. I also love good writing, a unique and distinct author voice, and clever verbiage. Kramer's writing is filled with humorous language and delicious "Southern-isms." I laughed out loud at her descriptions such as "We'll look like the Hardy Boys without a mystery to solve" and "Andy Griffith's backwoods cousin's man cave!" The lyrics to the hero's country songs "Snack on This" and "Whoopie" were as clever as many of the real country songs out there today. Besides adoring the hero and heroine, I was drawn to Kramer's quirky secondary characters who added depth and poignancy to the story. Brava to Kieran Kramer for her first contemporary romance! I can't wait for her next book!!!
